MCP connections to your business systems

The problem

Without a connection, every AI task starts with copy and paste. The ticket, the customer record or the invoice is carried into the chat by hand, and the answer is carried back by hand. The opposite extreme is just as bad: the connection is opened quickly, and the agent has write access to everything the credentials can see.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI model use external systems as tools. Many systems already have a vendor-maintained MCP server, some have only a community one, and some have none. That difference decides what can be promised.

What we do

  1. Mapping. We go through your systems and tell you which category each falls into: an official vendor connection, a beta-level connection, or one that has to be built.
  2. Choosing the integration level. A ready-made connector in the AI tool, a remote server, a developer workstation, or a custom MCP server. The choice depends on who uses the connection and for what.
  3. Scoping permissions, one tool at a time. The default is read-only. Write access is allowed for named actions, and anything that sends, deletes or pays always requires a human confirmation.
  4. Testing on test data before production. Every writing action is walked through individually.
  5. Documentation and training. What is connected, with which permissions, who owns the keys, how the connection is removed. And how to recognise a situation where text returned by a system is trying to steer the agent.

For Finnish accounting systems there is no ready-made MCP connection. For those we build an MCP server on top of the system’s own API. It is a project, not a switch, and we say so.

What you own

  • The configuration, in your own repository.
  • The OAuth apps and API keys, on your own accounts in every system and every AI service.
  • The source code of any MCP server we built.
  • Documentation that lets you remove or renew the connection without us.

What we don’t promise

  • A connection to an internal-network system without a public API. There is no production-grade route for that today.
  • That data stays in the EU over a direct API connection. It is possible through a cloud partner’s EU region, and we’ll tell you what that requires.
  • A “read-only” agent without scoping. Many connections allow writes by default. Scoping is always done explicitly and documented.
  • The same stability for a beta-level connection as for a finished one. We always tell you which it is.
