Shopify integrations and automation
The problem
The store platform’s write API, Shopify’s Admin API for example, is powerful but dangerous without scoping: if write access is open and the live store has no separate test environment, a single bad write shows up directly for the customer. At the same time, many stores actually run on a multi-tool stack: customer service, email marketing, a carrier’s label system, a marketplace integrator, price tracking, and none of it talks to the others automatically.
What we do
We build integrations against the platform’s write API on safety principles: a dry run first, write access kept behind a separate flag until the production environment is proven safe. We design fulfilment integration between two stock locations or platforms in detail: stock synchronisation, order relay, reading delivery status back, and identify race-condition gaps up front, what happens if a write succeeds but the process crashes before acknowledgement, and country-level delivery restrictions. We map the stock-location risk that comes with onboarding a marketplace channel, where a marketplace order can oversell stock it can’t see the real location of, before go-live, not after.
There is no ready-made Shopify integration for Finnish accounting on any platform. We build the monthly ledger export around your own chart of accounts, reconciled against named chart-of-accounts codes, and always tell you before go-live which steps automation handles fully and which a person checks.
What you own
The integration’s source code and control over write access, in your own repository. Write access always sits behind a flag that you can open or close yourself.
What we don’t promise
- A ready-made integration for every ERP or accounting system. Every integration is built against that system’s own API, not pulled off a shelf.
- Marketplace-to-marketplace fulfilment as a one-click solution. Every fulfilment integration is designed in detail and tested with a dry run before write access opens to production.
- The platform’s own workflow automation, a Shopify Flow-style rules engine for example, as something that fits every case by default. We scope case by case whether a ready-made rules engine or a custom pipeline fits your store.
- Accounting integration as full automation by default. The export is built around your own chart of accounts, and we always tell you before go-live which steps automation handles fully and which a person checks.
First step
Tell us which systems need to talk to each other. We always start with a dry run.
