Shopify consulting and builds
E-commerce is our core competence
We have built more than 20 online stores on four different platforms, for dozens of brands, and done all of it in-house: design, build, product data, integrations, advertising and logistics. Today we build mainly on Shopify. More than 100 million euros’ worth has been sold through our own stores, and more than a million parcels shipped. We run our own warehouses and use outsourced ones, so we know the price and the limits of both models. Conversion optimisation and A/B testing are part of the daily work: we have run dozens of A/B tests in our own stores.
The problem
Many Shopify stores are built or redesigned as a one-off project, after which the store is left to run on its own: search visibility never fully recovers after a platform migration, product data degrades import by import, and international expansion happens market by market with no shared structure. A consultant who knows the platform’s admin screen but has never run a store month after month doesn’t see these problems coming.
What we do
We run two Shopify stores across several markets ourselves, and this section covers eight areas where that shows:
- Store build and redesign. Post-migration clean-up, search-visibility diagnosis, product taxonomy fixes and internal-linking design based on research.
- Multichannel and marketplaces. Onboarding a marketplace channel (Amazon or Zalando, for example) and auditing its real profitability, or building international reach on search-based shopping ads instead. The same page covers both, because the choice between them is made together.
- Product data and catalogue. Avoiding the documented pitfalls of the platform’s bulk-import tool (Matrixify, for example), and automating new-product onboarding from the source system.
- Pricing and margin. Rule-based, market-specific pricing and order-level margin calculation: the same technique behind our automation and agents service.
- Data and reporting. Both stores’ data in one versioned reporting layer, see data platform and reporting.
- Marketing and advertising. Campaign production tied to verified numbers, and channel-level measurement, see e-commerce AI services.
- Integrations and automation. Safe, tested use of the platform’s write API.
- International expansion. Country-level pricing, currency and VAT handling built for several markets.
How this connects to our AI services
Four of these areas are directly the same systems we describe in how we work: pricing and margin, product data, reporting and ad measurement are all places where a custom system has replaced manual work, not in theory, but in a store that runs on it every day. An e-commerce client is a natural AI client: the data already exists, and the benefit shows up directly in price or time saved.
What you own
Your own account on the store platform, your theme and your content, those are already yours before we start. On top of that, the source code for every script, import template and integration we build, in your own repository, plus documentation that lets the work continue without us.
What we don’t promise
-
A testing platform or a standing optimisation contract by default. Conversion optimisation and A/B tests are run in your store with your tools, and ongoing optimisation is agreed separately, not a condition.
-
A ready-made integration for every ERP or accounting system. Accounting integration is built around your own chart of accounts, and we always tell you before go-live which steps automation handles fully and which a person checks.
-
Marketplace-to-marketplace fulfilment as a one-click solution. Every fulfilment integration is designed in detail and tested with a dry run before write access opens to production.
-
Legal review of translations. We translate the text for a new market, but legal review always stays with you or your lawyer.
-
Marketplace experience that applies equally to every marketplace. One of our own stores runs a marketplace channel continuously; the other has deliberately left marketplaces out. Both are reasoned choices, and neither is assumed to fit your situation automatically.
First step
Tell us which stage you’re at: a new store, a platform migration or developing an existing store. We’ll suggest the right starting point based on that.
